Tom (Nigel Bach) returns home - and has to enter through a window as
the door's locked and he has mislaid his keys. However, things in his
house are rather off as he finds all this stuff that isn't his, and before
long notices there's someone with him inside the house, either human or
spirit - and ultimately it turns out a demon, but one he manages to get
rid of rather easily. Problem is though, he later finds a tome that
includes info about exactly the demon he has just expelled, and learns
expelling it only leads to an increase in ghostly activity and eventually
to the arrival of more demons. Of course, things get out of hand soon, and
Tom is plagued by many a weird occurence, including that of a priest's
head (Steve Reynolds) looking for his severed hand - and ultimately Tom
has to admit the whole thing's too big for him to tackle on his own ... so
Toms from other dimensions come to help - with not all of them being as
reasonable beings as he is ... Of course, over the years there
have been found footage ghost movies a dime a dozen (including of course
the previous 8 Bad Ben movies), but what makes this one work
is Tom's very down-to-earth character, his nonchalance towards the
paranormal and his lack of heroic attitude, combined with an almost
comical klutziness. And its his personality that also helps the film's
light-footed and at times even tongue-in-cheek approach, and makes this
into one very enjoyable ghost story.
