While presenting a duo of shorts, Morana (Jacqueline Breakwell) loses
her one true love (Michael Kovac) and then gets him back - even if not
exactly at his own free will. The shorts are:
- Nepenthes: A blind date
gets very sticky for Max (Ariel Slack).
- The Devil and I: A
frustrated woman (Ariel Hansen) listens to the Devil in guise of a
wolf (Apollo, voiced by Jesse Inocalla) a bit too closely.
A fun little anthology, holding together two shorts that are rather
diverse in approach - body horror and mock folk tale - by a enjoyably
silly framing story that despite its silliness holds the films together
well, making another play about their overriding theme. And since the
shorts presented both do their respective approach to the genre proud,
it's pretty much whatever your preference in horror is, you're in for a
treat.
... and for those interested, this anthology will have its online
premiere on September 5th 2020 here: https://youtu.be/7MADuQu5Sa0
