Buster Keaton has promised his nephew 25 Dollars for the boyscouts, problem
is though that he doesn't have the money, & by the way he is messing up
business in his sporting goods store, he is not likely to earn them any time
soon. But then he & fellow storeclerk Jones are knocking out 2 (real life)
wrestling champs, the Great Scott & Lord Blears, while trying to put up a
tent for demonstration purposes, & suddenly they are challenged for a
re-match ... in the ring, which is bad because neither Buster nor Jones have
got any kind of wrestling experience, but it's also good, decause they are paid
100 bucks each even if they lose ... but thanks to their total incompetence,
they end up winning the fight. Of course, it would be unfair to
compare any of Buster Keaton's tv-shows to his masterpieces from the silent
era, as meager budgets, tight productin schedules & restrictions to
half-hour time slots instantly put his tv-work at a disadvantage, on the other
hand though Buster does prove he could still do great slapstick, inventive
stunts, & could still be genuinely funny, which makes his shows worthwhile
after all.
