Click
here to open the Spoiler Pop-up! With Halloween being
the most macabre holiday of the season, it's only fitting for the occasion
to be represented in a macabre way - and Candy. does it quite
elegantly so, not going right for the jugular but taking it's short (~ 8
minutes) running time to build up tension and suspense until it comes to a
climax, which is then resolved in a totally unexpected way, just like in
an effective old-fashioned shortstory. That the film is well-paced,
swiftly directed and well-played of course doesn't hurt one bit either. Recommended,
actually. ... and if you want to see the film, just go to http://www.CandyShort.blip.tv!
