Her family's move to a new city is hard for tweenaged Anna (Joey Victoria Lerama), as it means saying good bye to old friends and finding new goals. But she joins the cheerleading squad and is quite good at it, too - much to the deo8gzt of her dad Patrick (Tim Perez-Ross), who's more than happy to help out his daughter*s cheer-squad in every way or form, and even though it's not his world, he's getting involved more and more ... until he's turned into the girls' cheerleading coach, and while he hasn't an ounce's worth of experience in the sport itself, he has enough leadership to take the girls to the finals ...

Ok, this is a US-American film clearly targeted at US-Americans, as neither the concept of cheerleading nor of competitive sports as an important part of a school's curriculum for minors really rings true to anyone else in the world (like the Central European writing this review) - so if you're not in line with these topics, you're probably a bit lost. as am I. But that said, as a sports drama, this film at least ticks all the boxes, is light-footed enough to not just bore one, and has some genuine heart to it. So I really don't know, maybe the film even is good - it's just not made for people like me.
