It all started with a successful raid of a rival drug supplier - but it
ends in jail for G (Marcus Carothers), facing murder charges. And to kill
time waiting what might come, G relates to his young cellmate his rise in
the crime structures of Chicago, and how he has lost many a friend in the
process, but also the crumbling of his crime family that took years and
hardships to establish ... Ok, this film might be a bit hard to
fully grasp who (like me) hasn't watched the previous City of
Vultures films, as it features just too many characters that are
not properly introduced, as the film also tries to cram a lot of story
into its mere not-quite-75 minutes running time and features tons of
flashbacks and not always linear storytelling. But even if one fails to
follow the story in full, this is a very entertaining, hard-hitting movie,
as it's pretty much filled to the brim with action, suspense and intrigue,
it starts on a high note and then never lets up, keeping the audience at
the edge of their seats, no matter if one gets every detail or not. So
worth a watch for sure.
