Texas Ranger Larry's (Tom Keene) best friend Jim (William Scott) is
shot dead when trying to arrest Joan Stanton (Julie Haydon), who is said
to lead a gang of rustlers, so Larry throws in with your typical respected
citizen Sanderson (Robert Ellis), who offers a reward to whoever arrests
Joan, pretends to be a criminal on the run, and soon finds abode at Joan's
place. Joan's men soon find out he's a Texas Ranger, but somehow Larry
manages to get Joan away from her ranch, and he drives her right into the
arms of Sanderson's men. It's only when the girl's already in captivity
and sanderson's that Larry finds out from his sidekick Rusty (Roscoe Ates)
that its actually Sanderson who's behind the rustling that has been done
in the region recently, and now it's upon Larry to break her free and
defeat Sanderson in a lengthy fistfight before the Texas Rangers arrive to
arrest the guilty party. Larry of course gets the girl in the end. Rather
slickly produced B-Western - that unfortunately makes very little of its
story about a female leader of a gang of gunmen (40
Guns this isn't) and instead presents the audience with just
another clichéd Western story. Not all bad, of course, but hardly worth
your while.
