In a vlog entry, a woman (Julie Mainville) tries to make peace with her
ever elusive father, whose unexpected death very obviously has startled
her much more than she would have ever expected. But consumed in
ambivalent memories of the past, she might fail to see what's in the here
and now ... One of these films that was obviously made under
Covid-restrictions - meaning the lead actress is basically shooting
herself, in what's most likely her own home, on static camera - and might
have not happened under normal circumstances. So that out of the way
first, this is actually a really strong 3 minute-piece as Julie Mainville
gives a very strong performance, and her monologue feels real, thanks also
to good writing. So in a word, the production values of this short might
not be the highest, but it's a film that gets under one's skin
nevertheless. And if this has at all gotten you interested,
