It all starts with a lock that Susan (Sarah Alexander) has removed from
the door to her boyfriend Steve's (/Jack Davenport) toilet ... but mre of
that later.
Susan have invited all their friends to dinner, Jane (Gina Bellman),
Jeff (Patrick Coyle), Sally (Kate Isitt) & Patrick (Ben Miles) ...
only Patrick brings his new girlfriend Jennifer (Emma Pierson) along,
& Sally is deeply in love but won't admit to it, while Patrick has
told Jennifer, to avoid complications, that Sally is a lesbian - how that
is supposed to avoid complications is left to anybody's guess. Jennifer,
who has one of these open relationships with Patrick & is also
into women, is quite turned on by that.
Eventually, the 2 women meet on the toilet, & Sally tells Jennifer
about her feelings for Patrick - but in a roundabout way, so that Jennifer
believes she's coming onto her ...
Later at dinner though, the Sally-&-Jennifer thing is brought up
again, & shocked by the assumption that Jennifer thinks her to be gay,
Sally blurts out that she's madly in love with Patrick ... & leaves
the silence she has created in tears.
On the bright side, Steve gets his toilet's lock back.
Another great episode, centered pretty much around the toilet
conversation of the 2 girls, with each assuming something else about the
other - to great comical effect.
