Even if their relationship hasn't exactly been without its problems, the
death of her husband has left Abigail (Deborah Twiss) emotionally scarred,
so much so that she thought she could never love again - and yet, when her
longrime friend Max (Brandon Hughes) shows his paintings at a gallery,
showing her a new side of himself, she can't help but feeling drawn to him
- and vice versa. So they soon land in one another's arms (and beds), and
life could be so beautiful ... if it wasn't for her emotional baggage. And
on top of that, Max isn't without his fair share of past heartbreaks as
well ... Above everything else, Crave's an actors'
movie,as both Deborah Twiss and Brandon Hughes are not just brilliant in
their roles, they also develop just the right kind of chemistry to make
this film work and keep what's actually a rather thin plot captivating
throughout. This is of course also helped by Deborah Twiss's very
empathetic directorial effort, and she certainly doesn't shy away from
putting herself (as an actress) into vulnerable situations, which greatly
helps the film as a whole. And the outcome is a very compelling drama
that's just really worth one's while.
