Madame Lee (Mari Honjo) is mistress of a trio of unstoppable (and
drugged) assassins, the death machines, one white (Ron L.Marchini), one
black (Joshua Johnson), one Asian (Michael Chong), and with these three,
she plans to take over all contract killings in town, and first she
forces mobster Gioretti (Chuck Katzakian) into submission, by killing all
of his hitmen while they are preparing their next hits, then killing his
driver while he's at her place, just to demontrate her death machines'
effectiveness. Ultimately, Gioretti hires the death machines to do away
with a karate teacher (Eric Lee), and while the machines are at it, they
also slaughter all of his students, all but Frank (John Lowe), who gets
his right hand cut off though - upon which he vows revenge. With Frank
havind survived the massacre, it quickly becomes clear that the death
machines have to get rid of him, but at the hospital Frank is treated at,
the machines are lured into a trap, and detective Forrester (Ron Ackerman)
is able to capture one of them ... however, due to struggles inside the
appartment, Forrester is taken off the case and the death machine is able
to escape. From here on, the death machines are responsible for a few
more killings, barroom brawls, the rape of a bank director's daughter and
the director's assassination, and the death of gangster boss Gioretti in
an explosion, before Frank is finally able to track them down ... but by
that time, the death machines have already become unstable and Madame Lee
orders them killed. When Frank enters Madame Lee's place, he is attacked
by her, wielding a samurai sword, but ultimately she's shot down by the
police. The death machines however cannot be found, they have killed their
proposed executor and left the country ... Your typical low
budget US-American martial arts movie, consisting of very lame fight
scenes, and extremely ridiculous story told in a laughable way, narrative
threads that appear, disappear and re-appear without any rhyme or reason,
numerous excuses to feature yet another explosion or barroom brawl, and of
course actors who show a significant lack in talent - in other words, this
is trash at its silliest, and sure enough it's a bad film ... but for
trash enthusiasts like myself, it's still pretty amusing.
