Land developer Pinkerton (Robert Smith) thinks he's made the deal of
his life when he cheated the Blackwoods (Bo Keister, Nicole Neely) out of
their estate. Sure, this ended in utter tragedy, but not for him, so why
worry? Perhaps because a stranger has just hit town, a stranger who
takes out Pinkerton's minions one by one - which really doesn't bother
Pinkerton either, because they were all cutthroats. Then though the
stranger goes after him, and when Pinkerton learns the stranger's
identity, he's more than a little shocked - but not for long ...
The Deed is basically a fun hybrid of spaghetti Western
(though set in modern times) and ghost story, which sounds interesting
enough, but it's the fact that the whole thing was done entirely without
dialogue (and still remains easy enough to follow) that gives the film its
extra dimension - of course thanks to a competent direction and a cast
entirely up for it! By the way, part of Hillbilly
Horror Show - Episode 2.
