There's something going on in the neighbourhood ... but who really
cares, Shaun (Scott Gleine) and Cooper (Nathan Pinsoneault) feel
rather safe in their student pad - until of course Logan (Chris Gierowski)
and Roger (Stephen Snowden) ask for abode, which Shaun and Cooper happily
grant - which was very nice but not the best idea because Logan was bitten
by ... someone else, and suddenly the four of them have to come to the
conclusion there are people out there who like to bite other people,
actually the majority of people out there is into this, and they might be
zombies ... and with Logan having been bitten ...
While there have been both zombie movies and found
footage movies aplenty, this one really puts a new spin on both genres as
it, in one single take (!) chronicles the beginnings of the outbreak up to
the invasion of private homes via a very personal story. And all this is
done in a surprisingly un-sensationalist way that's rather reminiscent of
mumblecore movies, and via the main characters' emotions rather than
outbursts of violence. A totally interesting approach to the genre to
say the least!
