Of late, Andra (Annie Tuma) has grown worried about her sister Delfi
(Ariana Marquis), who has taken to seeing things that aren't there -
something she has suffered from before but has been considered cured.
Thing is, this time around Delfi refuses conventional treatment, so Andra
gives in to her whim to go looking for the places Delfi thinks she has
seen in her visions, which were mostly about witches covens in a long gone
time. And once there, Delfi has a revelation - and she insists on going to
the "place of light". What's really troubling to Andra is that
she has had a vision there as well. The place of light appears to be
some kind of wiccan night club, and once there it's Andra who really gets
into the spirit of things while Delfi suddenly finds herself to be the
more reasonable one. And while Delfi's visions gradually subside, Andra
starts to change, and before long it becomes obvious and also visible that
this is not just in her mind but that she's actually obsessed by some
creature after her soul ... A nice piece of esoteric horror,
and a film that doesn't live too much on spectacle but relies more on
atmosphere and a feeling of mystery - and to great effect, too, as the
film has its genuinely scary bits while successfully dragging the audience
into its story that only gradually deciphers itself. And two despite
everything relatable leads help making this a rather solid genre effort.
