Haunted Events UK, a team of ghosthunters led by Lee Roberts and
Michelle Gent, investigates the haunting of the Old Street Market of
Sutton Town - but it quickly becomes clear they have taken a bigger bite
than they can chew on. In a séance, they are contacted by not one but
four spirits, A thermo-camera shows handprints everywhere but no source
that would explain them, from everywhere, thudding and rattling can be
heard even though the place is deserted, and inanimate objects seemingly
take on a life of their own. And all seems to fit in with a gruesome local
legend ... Eventually, our ghosthunters cut short their investigation,
and they are happy to get out of the place when they do. A
depiction of a real-life ghosthunt, this film will very probably not
convince a skeptic like myself that the team of Haunted Events UK has
actually encountered a (or more than one) ghost(s) here - and I'm not
saying any of this was staged, because it probably wasn't, it's just that
these guys want to believe so they at times fail to look for other more
rational explanations for what they have encountered. That out of the
way though Ghost Attack on Sutton Street is a pretty effective
piece of film, a sort of reality horror movie that actually features a
proper buildup, scares aplenty and atmospheric camerawork, plus our
ghosthunters don't try to force their believes onto you - so even
non-believers like myself get their money's worth.
