This time around, Gentaro (Shoji
Ishibashi), agent for Professor Tsushima, and his guardian angel,
giant robot Iron King, have to fight two giant robots sent by the Shirunai Clan led by Taro (Shinzo Hotta),
Black Knight, who can shoot projectiles from his arms, and Bronze Demon,
who has (rather silly-looking) bombs attached to his body he throws at his
opponents every now and again.
But much more important, finally Gentaro can reveal Yukiko (Chieko
Morikawa), his guitar carrying friend, as an agent of the Clan. Yukiko
admits she has been a bad girl, but also claims to be in love with him and
offers to take him to the Shirunai Clan headquarters ... but Gentaro
thinks this is just another trick of hers and declines. It is only when
Yukiko dies catching a bullet meant for Gentaro that he realizes she has
been on the right side after all.
As usual though, the finale has Gentaro and Iron King go against their
giant robot opponents and defeat and destroy them.
Despite 2 Shirunai giant robots instead of one and despite some
dramatic developments - the unmasking of Yukiko as a spy and her death -
this is not one of the more exciting episodes of the series, most probably
because the dramatic developments were hinted at a bit too much in
previous episodes and because the two giant robots are both rather
disappointing compared to the robots from earlier episodes. Still, this
one is silly fun, no mre but also no less.
