Somehow, the Phantom Militia find out that klutzy agent Goro (Mitsuo
Hamada) is indeed giant robot Iron King and plan to kill him ... but so
far only managed to injure his leg. However, when the Phantom Militia's
new giant robot Dodzilla (a dinosaur-like monster with cannons in its
belly), Goro's friend and colleague Gentaro (Shoji Ishibashi), agent for
Professor Tsushima and by now pretty much the only one who doesn't know
about Goro's other identity, has to take on the monster on his own, with
only his steel whip to help him. However, Goro can't remain on the
sideline for too long, so eventually he turns into Iron King despite his
injured leg (his leg is still injured once he's in giant robot-mode), and
together they destroy Dodzilla.
A subplot deals with a woman whose husband has joined the baddies (not
the first time such a plot device is used).
Not one of the better episodes of the series: Dodzilla might look wacky
enough to make it entertaining, but he's also a tad too cheaply made to
really convince, and the basic plot and subplot are too tried and true to
really entertain. But if you like Japanese giant monster TV-series as much
as I do, you might still be entertained ...
