Disappointed with life - and especially the love of his life (Zoe
Pearce), who turns out to be nothing more than a golddigger - Baron Von
Harden (Patrick Carney Junior) decides to kill himself ... but simply
can't muster up the courage to pull the trigger of the gun pointed at his
temple. So he decides the next best thing to make him forget might be a
couple of hours at a brothel. But Madame Mephistophilis' (Miss Sugar Rush)
place is not just any brothel, and the sights she shows him biblical Eve's
(Rahel Kapsaski) snake dance, torture at the hand of a nun (Harmony Filth)
and an Incubus' (Ash Young) alluring dance. But really, Madame
Mephistophilis has something far more inister in store for the Baron ... A
rather fascinating short, as it freely mixes elements and aesthetics of
silent cinema with influences of old-fashioned stag reels, with Faustian
motives and biblical/mythologicasl elements to create something entirely
new and unusual, a film that really drags you in due to its unusual
imagery perfectly counterpointing its straight-forward narration, making
for a very enjoyable watch.
