Somewhere on an Carribean island paradise, an atomic powerplant is to
be built, with the inhabitants of a fishing village strongly opposing
it, resorting to violence & voodoo, & somehow reporter Sarah
(Sirpa Lane) & her boyfriend, engineer Vincent (Maurice Poli) get
drawn into the center of it by seductive Papaya (Melissa Chimenti), who
first makes them attend a voodoo-ritual, where a heart is ripped out of
a man with some sex ensuing, & later seduces Vincent, who soon
becomes obsessed with her & seems to care little about Sarah, who is
meanwhile abducted, & made to see the villagers' side of the whole
powerplant-business, & she has sex with one of the
villagers' leaders. This however is much to the dismay to Papaya, who
has since killed Vincent & seems to be in love with same leader,
soon trying to kill Sarah. But then, for some reason, the two women have
sex (?!), & soon Sarah helps the villagers in abducting more &
more engineers from the powerplant. Erotic horror-movie, in
which sex & violence follow each other quite at random rather than
being motivated plotwise, thus leaving lots of plotholes & loose
ends. Not the best thing to come out of Italy or from director D'Amato,
some of the loation-shooting is quite atmospheric, though. |
