Somewhere in the middle of nowhere, USA: After his daughter Eden (Lorelei Brown) has flat out disappeared, farmer Lucas (Adam Holley) has gotten weird, so much so that his wife (Reese Ravencraft) has left him and locals start believing he has done away with the girl. Only Ruth (Caitlin Westfall), waitress of the local diner, shows sympathy with the guy, so much so that one day when a photo of his daughter has fallen out of his pocket at the diner, she makes it a point to return it to him personally rather than wait for him to come back to the diner. However, this drags her into the troubling truth about the actual disappearance of Eden, she's apparently caught in another dimension that regularly sends monsters Lucas has to face as well as fake Edens, a dimension that has somehow caught everybody in a time loop. And now that she has entered Lucas*s world, Ruth is caught in it as well, as well as Arthur (Tim O'Hearn), a guy who only tried to set things right without knowing what right even was ...

One thing, if you're someone quo likes to have things explained away right away - or at all, rally -, then Reset is just a film not for you as it is by design a film that creates a confusing world, the mystery of which is the key element of the movie. But if you*re ok with this, Reset is quite simply fascinating, a film that's bold in its other-wordliness and yet manages to keep things relatable enough throughout, thanks also to well fleshed.-out characters, played by a relatable ensemble cast. Sure, it's not a film for everyone, but if you like things on the weird side of things, then this one's for you for sure.
