It was supposed to look like suicide, but mobster Marconi (David Graziano) has hired his fuck-up nephew for the job and he fucked up, and now the police are investigating. Fortunately, Maarconi knows a cop on the take, Lt. Cole (Kasia Skolase), and he asks her to take care of the affair by blaming it on the deceased's wife (Killarney Traynor), and when she's less than happy to handle something that was doomed to fail in the first place, he threatens to harm her daughter - and this is where he's clearly overstepping the line ...

A nice little gangster flick that might not exactly be treading new ground, but it tells its story well with a focus on characters and character development, including character-based and yet unexpected plottwists and plenty of suspense stemming from the characters' interplay. And a very solid cast and a direction that's subtle yet elegant help making this a very worthwhile genre piece.
