Trailer Park Boys

Despite his best efforts, the offer to go on a world tour comes out of
nowhere for Bubbles (Mike Smith), so much so that he has to hire musicians
(Brad Stella, Zach Stelwyn, Peter Lesperance, Andy Gallant, Dale Murray)
on the fly, and he even fails himself unable not to hire his good firend
Ricky (Robb Wells), who however overweight he is insists on performing
shirtless. And however so-so the tour goes, it takes Bubbles and company
to London to play in Billy Bob Thornton's club - where Bubbles pees
himself right on stage. He feels so humiliated by that that he calls his
trailer park brothers Julian (John Paul Tremblay) and Randy (Patrick
Roach) to retch him and take him back home. However, fate has other plans
... Now to properly enjoy this movie, it without a doubt would
help to have followed the series Trailer
Park Boys and the films that followewd it, which I admit I
have not, and have a basic understanding of the current country music
scene, which admittedly isn't a strong point of mine. Judging the film
solely by its own merits then, it's a nice character-driven comedy that
falls short whenever it refers to the series as a whole but still manages
to generate its fair share of laughs on its own and give Bubbles a very
relatable character arc. So in all, a pretty good watch - and fans of the
series will think even higher on it.
