Halloween is this boy's favourite holiday, and for two reasons: For one
he's horribly scarred, and only on Halloween he doesn't feel like an
outcast, and two, it's for all th candy. You see, he never gets candy at
home as his parents have long stopped caring about him. So this Halloween,
he's super-motivated to get all the candy he can - but every door he
knocks on he only gets more useful stuff like toothbaste or a coupon for
the dry cleaner. So he's extra adamant to find that one house thst will
finally fulfill his craving for candy. Even if that means taking
extra-risks ...
Now this is a three minute Halloween-themed cautionary tale, and you'll
probably be able to guess where it's going after the first. so don't
expect much on narrative surprises. But it's really this spisode's overall
design that makes it, its macabre tone and morbid details, its clear roots
in the horror genre. All of this makes this essentially age-old story
fresh yet again, and - at least for the genre fan - an absolute joy to
watch.
