For various reasons, people come to an antique shop where the creepy
owner (Kenny Ledee) always gives them exactly what they need, whether they
know it or not - or whether what they need is really what they want:
- There's Sal (Rink Patel), who really wants to impress his
girlfriend's (Katie Raulerson) parents (Vincent Caprio, Suzanne
Johnson), so he buys them an antique mirror - not knowing what the
mirror will make out of those who look into it ...
- When three girls (Ashley Laessig, Mary Zaroura, Julia Wyrzuc) buy
the urn containing the cremated remains of a serialkiller, they have
no idea his wife's (Esra Ozgun) is still out there looking for him,
and determined to get him back by whatever means necessary ...
- A woman (Jenn Nobile) mourns the death of her son, so her
acquaintances (Saniye Reyhan, Chelsea Rose Barreto) bring her a trunk
to store the boy's stuff in - but the trunk has a mind of its own, and
its intentions aren't pretty ...
Quite simply put, a fun horror anthology, and while it's not a movie
that breaks new ground storywise, it still feels very fresh as it tells
its segments in a light-hearted way, often throwing some humour into the
mix, and focuses on character rather than spectacle to keep things
interesting at all times. And a competent ensemble really help to bring
this film to life and make it good genre entertainment.
