Killa B (Brianna Lee) seems to have it all, great looks, an appealing personality and even musical talents. So of course in today's world she has taken to podcasting and has garnered enough success that she can afford herself a personal assistant (Katy Frame) and a driver (Richard Mark Jordan). So in many ways she seems to be invincible, right? But she has one problem, she really gets ticked off by mean comments on her stream, and of late she has received a good many from one user she eventually identifies as Josh (Greg Saridakis). So she tracks Josh, a mere high school student, down, gets his parents Alena Acker, Mattthew Eyre) out of the way then in  a public event makes Josh her "super-fan" she takes out on a date - a date that*s anything but romantic ...

Disturbing thriller, black comedy and biting satire all at once, this is a film that really hits it home, as the piece's humour doesn't stand in the way of its horrors. its often very colourful imagery (including music videos) don't soften the film's blow but only widen its scope, and the forceful cheeriness of some scenes only makes them more disturbing. And all of this is held together by a spot-on performance by writer/director Brianna Lee, wbo puts just the right portions of charm and vulnerability into her character to make it work, And all of this combined just makes The Troll a very worthwhile genre ride.
