Los Angeles: Sam (Hans-Jürgen Wolf) has chances to be voted into the
senate, but to that end, his mistress Barbara (Marion Thiel) has to
disappear - but unfortunately, she will not only not disappear on her own,
she also has a video that shows Sam in compromising situations. Frankie
Garland (Vonny Kesisoglu) is a man who loves life and who thinks he can
make it big in Hollywood as a private eye, it's just a matter of having
the right contacts. And one day, when he's hired by Sam, he thinks he has
hit the jackpot. sam tells him about a crazy woman who's stalking him and
even shows him a gun he has bought for his protection. Frankie promises
him to make the woman disappear from his life - but when he shows up at
her hotel room, he finds her shot dead - shot dead by Sam of course, but
Sam has seen to it that Frankie's fingerprints are on the weapon ... and
suddenly Frankie finds himself to be America's most wanted, and the
subject of a Mexican crimewatch show (hosted by Katja Bienert in an intentionally
weird accent). This short (approx. 10 minutes) would be a great
setup for a noirish thriller, with sunny California working surprisingly
well as a backdrop ... but unfotuntately that's all this short is, it
really ends when it gets interesting - which is too bad because this is
one short that would have deserved to be a feature film. This
film can be ordered directly from the director via email - MichaelMHuck@aol.com
