Vampus (Saturnino García), a gravedigger with a canrivorous
half-man/half-beast (Alberto Rivas) as a pet, is collecting corpses as pet
food, and inbetween tells four tales of horror:
- La Boda: For some reason, bride-to-be Marta (Elena Furiase)
and best man-to-be Santi (Félix Gómez) find themselves locked into a
basement, right beneath the place the wedding's held at. At first this
seems just like a silly accident brought on by too much alcohol, later
an evil ruse on Santi's bahalf as he has long been seccretly in love
with Marta. But actually, there's something much more sinister behind
the story ...
- Cumpleaños: Two girls (Montse Plá, Dunia Rodríguez) get
stuck at a haunted house ride at an amusement park - to soon notice
there's some dangerously real haunts going on ...
- Segunda Cita: Alex (Nacho Guerreros) takes his new
acquaintance, blind Margot (Erika Sanz), to his house in the country
to meet up with some friends. Only, the friends aren't coming because
he has only made them up to lure her out - and the house might not be
his either. And this is when things only start to get dangerous ...
- A new pandemic that turns those infected into vampires has hit
humankind - and a man (Federico Repetto) does everything to keep his
wife (Vicky Jorge), who has turned, hidden from all welf-appointed
vampire killers, and also tries to feed her the bet he can with the
blood he can "find" ...
A fun horror anthology that covers a lot of ground when it comes to
different approaches to the genre - from horror comedy to slasher to
sci-fi horror to psycho thriller -, and yet, even despite five directors
having worked on the film, comes across as a homogenous whole, basically
because it's slickly filmed and stylishly directed throughout, and even if
the stories of course vary a bit in quality, there's not a single actual
dud in the movie, plus the acting is uniformly strong, while the film's
overall macabre tendencies make sure this will resonate well with genre
audiences.
