India: 20 year-old Santha (Lee Torrance) claims she can't marry her
boyfriend Rama (Julius Johnson) because she is still married to Armand
Vernoy (Jean Del Val), a man she remembers from a past life (and who must
now be middle aged). Ultimately she pays Vernoy a visit, and actually
wants to move in with him, but neither he nor his son Krishna (George
Hamilton) seem adamant to accept her as son/mother. But Vernoy is in some
kind of financial troubles, and lacks the money to send his son to the US
to study - and just to prove that she is indeed the reborn wife of Vernoy,
she shows him where her priceless jewels are hidden, which saves the man
financially and enables his son to go to the USA. Then though Santha
leaves again, since she feels no real love. Boris Karloff plays Vernoy's
best friend and advisor. An incredibly silly episode of The
Veil, maybe the silliest, not at all saved by the mock-Indian
sets. Well, at least it gives one plenty of opportunities to giggle ... if
for all the wrong reasons.
