When Denise (Lilly Lexfors) was merely 8 years old, her dad Uno (Oscar Töringe) disappeared under mysterious circumstances that had probably to do with his underground work for UFO Sweden. Since then, Denise (now played by Inez Dahl Torhaug) has grown up to be a rebellious teen, driven by the desire to find her dad again. And then his car (that has gone missing with him) is found crashed into a shed it had no business to even be at, and thus Denise figures it must have been the work of extraterrestrials - and she forces her way into dad's old gang UFO Sweden and forces them to investigate, even if their chairman Lennart (Jesper Barkselius) is against this at first and another member, Gunnar (Håkan Ehn) sabotages their investigations every step along the way. Thing is, near the shed the car has crashed into, they find a top secret weather station so hi-tech that one can't help but getting suspicious, and when Denise, a gifted hacker on the side, steals some of the station's hard drives, they have both the police and weather services, especially Gunnar's old nemesis, chairwoman Kicki (Eva Melander) on their tail. However, the findings they are makiung get bigger - and ultimately they see themselves forced to try to persuade Kicki to work with them - while the police has long branded them "terrorists" and have made it their priority to arrest them ...

Ok, there's quite a bit of techno-babble in this movie that I don't even pretend to understand and frankly think it doesn't make perfect sense anyways - and it doesn't have to, really, as it's only the backbone for a sci-fi tinged conspiracy thriller that's a whole lot livelier than it has any right to be, that doesn't necessarily take itself 100% seriously while never going all-out moronic, and that in its nonsenical way actually makes a lot of sense thanks to a clever script. And a competent cast and dynamic directorial effort only help making this one suitably wild genre ride.
