Michael (Steve Wandling) dies and goes to hell - which is probably fair
enough as he hasn't been exactly a model human being. That said, Michael
was sincere about one thing, and that was the relationship with his
girlfriend Lana (Zoe Scarborough), which is why it irks him all the more
that he has died before he could send her an utterly positive text
message, which he was about to when he croaked. So while in hell,
in one of the lesser circles, he tries to get permission to still send the
message. That's just not as easy as it may sound, as Michael's guide in
hell, Chang (Gary Whorley) is a bit useless, his contact (Jae Grace) a
little flakey, and this circle's own devil, Horny (Sheri Davis), a little
bit too, erm, horny, to get Michael's message across ...
Now this film was quite obviously made on a budget, which is
why its locations and the like don't always meet the story's ambitions -
but at the same time the film is rich on unusual ideas, off-beat humour
and general charm. And an inventive directorial effort that makes the most
out of its limitations, and a relatable cast playing colourful characters
sure make this a fun ride.
