A group of teens come to a small village where 70 years ago, a Pob-spirit
was captured & entombed in a well ... but when a few of the teenage boys
are too eager to spy on lovely Gir (Chompunoot Piyapane), they accidently set
the spirit free, & it takes possession of Gir ... Weeks later, back at
our kids' highschool, Gir is the most popular girl, not only because she looks
so lovely, but also because she wold date anyone. For some reason
though, nobody seems to make a connection between her dating habits & the
fact that all her lovers turn up dead eventually, with their livers torn out
... nobody but Buffy that is ... oh, I'm sorry I must have been drifting off
for a moment, what I meant to say was nobody but Com (Danai
Samutkochorn), who has a hard time to convince anyone though,
especially his friend Woo (Chaicharn
Nimpulsawasdi), who is just getting ready to shag her, when all of
a sudden her nails & her teeth seem a tad too long & her face too
hideous to still be pretty ... & Woo can save himself only just. However,
Gir is not likely to give up her liver-ripping just because she is found out,
& soon she turns the highschool into a bloodbath, & is especially after
Com, Woo, their respective girlfriends Fah (Angie Grant), Pim (Napatsanun
Thaweekitthavorn), & their transvestite friend Bella (Chatewut
Watcharakhun) ... & soon she has them cornered, when Ghost
hunter Kong steps in & defends them with a condom (really) With some
condoms Kong gave them, our kids soon go on the offensive, corner Gir &
knock her out ... which makes the Pob spirit leave her - which is good news
since she's healed now, & bad news since the Pob spirit is now in anopther
body ... but in which one. Soon our teens - armed to the teeth by their
ghostbuster friend - go ghost hunting, but their quest leads them to a disco -
full of people - then their school, where they think they have the ghost
finally cornered once again ... until the ghost possesses Fah, & she soon
does her best to seduce Com - which almost works too, but in the end Kong finds
a way to trap the Pob spirit onto his computer & burn it on a CD rom -
which eventually lands on the counter of a black market CD-trader ... Part
over-the-top-teen-comedy, part gross-out-horror, this movie falls flat on both
accounts: it's too busy to be over-the-top to be humourous, & too gross-out
to be horrific ... & what the audience is left with is a movie that wants
much but achieves nothing. & that the film quotes an incredible amount of
(mostly American) genre-pics & -series (the Scream-films, the
Nightmare on Elm Street-series, Buffy
the Vampire Slayer [the series], the Blade- or the Ghostbusters-movies
immediately spring to mind) in rather unimaginative ways doesn't speak for this
film either.
