Peter (Aaron Thiesse) runs over Susanne's (Lena Ehlers) cat - by
accident, of course - which leaves a hole in her heart. For some reason,
Peter and Susanne soon fall in love, have sex, and she gets pregnant.
Happy ending? Should be, but the pregnancy soon goes its own odd ways,
which is only topped by the birth ...
Witch's Milk looks good for sure, and it's also really
well-played - but it just feels so intentionally artsy (rather than
naturally artful), moves along very much on the slow side without much
build-up and scene after scene that don't drive the plot, and the pay-off
thus fails to deliver the punch the film would have needed ... The whole
thing is by no means bad in the traditional sense of the word, it just
doesn't live up to its premise.
