The masked killer Meathead (David Kolenski), whom some viewers might
remember from the feature Blackbags,
has just gotten hold of his latest victim, young Tina (Courtney Make), has
tied her to a chair in his shack and is threatening and scaring her
shitless of course, as that's what he does. But he gives her a way out, if
she rolls him a joint he really likes he'll let her go - and since he's no
monster (?), he even gives her three tries. Sounds like an easy enough
job, as pretty much anyone her age has rolled a joint one time or another
- but try to roll one when your hands are shaking out of fear ... This
one ... basically is fun (of the dark variety though), taking a
all-too-familiar slasher movie trope (the masked killer, the tied up
victim) and putting a surprise twist to it that only sounds funny at first
but really adds to the suspense of this short - and it actually is much
more of a suspense than a slasher piece. And add to that a strong cast and
a very capable directorial effort, and you've got yourself a pretty cool
movie!
