One day while sitting on the toilet, Aaron (Brandon Gadow) has an
epiphany - in the shape of shit. So he becomes the founder of his own
church, the Judgement House, and he preaches to his community from his
kitchen. His community of course consists of no more than one person,
Charlene (Leia Gadow), who has found one of his church's flyers in the
laundry room. Charlene worships the grouind Aaron walks on, even though
he's basically mean to her, scolds her for not bringing him any followers
or any money, or for wearing liptsick even, and eventually, he forces her
to pee and shit on him, just to cleanse her soul. Of course, Aaron is by
far not the holy man he pretends to be, he has a cocaine habit, owes a
pusher big time, sells his body for drug money, and plans to spend his
church money on his drug habit. And he is even worse at raising money or
converting people to his church than Charlene is. Charlene is blissfully
oblivious to all of this, she is just so fascinated by Aaron that she
eventually kisses him good-bye, an innocent little smacker on the cheek -
that causes an earthquake, as Aaron sees even this little kiss as a work
of the devil, and he accuses her of being a whore. Being pushed away
that severely leaves Charlene but one way out, suicide ... The whole
story is framed by a GOD TV show in which a preacher (Rick Reger) who actually has very
little to preach about tries to sell all sorts of religious paraphernalia
to his flock. Fun satire on a business called religion that
cleverly juxtaposes the adventures of an unsuccessful peddler worshipping
shit (literally) and a TV preacher worshipping the holy Dollar, two
narrative threads filled up with dark, politically incorrect humour and
quite a few toilet jokes - that nevertheless show quite some insight into
the subject. And Aaron Gadow's performance as the self-proclaimed preacher
with limited rethorical skills and very little to say really nails the
character, as does (Gadow's real life wife) Leia Gadow as the buttoned up
conservative girl who's lost her way in life and seems to have found it in
Aaron himself much more than his makeshift church. And Rick Reger as the
TV preacher is simply hilarious. Again, this film might not be
exactly politically correct - but that's exactly why it's so much fun. The
