Back in the day, criminals Haavisto (Mort Grankvist), Emil (Toni
Kandelin), Raide (Tommi Karjalainen), Kovalev (Artturi Rostén) and
Helenius (Asko Luntunen) found it a good idea to kill their colleague
Viktor (Onni Kaskinen) and bury him in the woods. Now, Viktor is back, and
he doesn't take long to kill Helenius. Haavisto calls upon the others to
think of a strategy to defeat Viktor, but when Kovalev doesn't show up to
the meeting, they all get a little nervous - and when they dig up Viktor's
grave to see if it's really him coming back, they find Kovalev's severed
head buried in there. Freaked out, they hide in a cabin in the country -
but then Viktor lures Emil out of the cabin with a recording of his wife's
(Sini Sandman) painful and brutal death, and when the others come to fetch
Emil, Viktor starts shooting at them, sniper-style. And however hard he
may hit the others, it seems he's saving the cruelest punches for Emil ... A
nice little grindhouse style thriller short that really slims down its
narrative to the bare bones and presents the audience with no backstory,
no subplots, no explanations but goes right into the thick of things and
makes up for what the movie lacks in narrative complexity with a cool mix
of hard-hitting action, an atmosphere of unease, and plenty of gore, a
cocktail that's sure to please the dedicated genre fan for sure.
