The Rocky Mountains, somewhen in the 1800s: fur trappers Abel (Tate
Smith) and Henry (Porter Smith) are basically scrambling to stay alive
selling their furs which bring in less and less money with each run as the
world's changing and they're not on board with those changes - and then
they fall out with both their "business partners" and the
natives - which forces them to leave their cabin in the middle of nowhere.
But the natives are really good at tracking people, especially in the
middle of nowhere ... By definition, this is probably a western
- but if you're not into western movies at all, chances are you'll like Iron
Brothers a lot: Basically, it's a fittingly and deliberately
slow-moving movie that sheds its light on aspects only rarely found in
genre movies, and its rather poetic approach even in the action scenes is
going to suck the audience in. And add to that cinematography that's
nothing short of breathtaking, and great locations to begin with, and you
end up with ... a pretty awesome movie, actually!
