There's a killer roaming the streets dressed up in football gear and
killing nerds first and foremost. Why this should worry Marvin (Cameron
Biggart)? Because he's the king of all nerds, being knee-deep into
roleplaying games with all his nerd friends while not at all being good at
thinking practically. But it's even more worrying for him because the
killer, Jockstrap, has been a nerd-bullying football hero back in the day
who was ultimately killed by Marvin's own mum ... and now he's back and
comes after Marvin, killing all his friends and his mother first before
going for the showdown ... A throwback to 1980s slasher movies,
this film is just too formulaic to ever come into its own - basically it's
just a collection of clichés strung together by a not all that original
brand of humour while really going through the killings without paying
much attention to building up tension and suspense. Unless you're a
die-hard slasher completist, this is less than worthwhile.
