Somewhere in historical limbo: When they were still children, Leong and
Chuen had to watch their parents being killed by Genji, who was ordered by
Lord Nishimiro, head of the Japanese invaders, to retrieve the famed
pottery manual at any cost - but the boys' dad had the good foresight to
send the manual along with the boys away with their granddad. Now the boys
have grown up and have been trained in martial arts ever since to one day
have their revenge ... One day, Lord Nishimiro has granddad arrested to
torture the whereabouts of the pottery manual out of him, but when the old
man won't talk, he orders to have him executed - and only the timely
intervention of Leong and Chuen saves him. But Nishimiro is not good at
losing, so he has granddad and the boys' martial arts master killed and
the master's daughter Chin, whom Leong is in love with, taken captive -
and Lord Nishimiro is known to rape his more lovely captives. To guard his
back though, Lord Nishimiro has hired Genji again, even if that means he
has to marry his own daughter to him. Leong and Chuen, now aided by
Soon, a girl who has lost her parents just like them, have no problems
defeating Genji's men, but Genji, a master martial artist, is something
else, and they are almost defeated by him - almost though, in the end,
Genji is killed, Leong is entrusted with the task to free Chin, Soon takes
care of Nishimiro's daughter, and Chuen kills Nishimiro himself. Nothing
special, but a reasonably well-paced low budget martial arts film with a
few well staged fight scenes and snow-covered locations that do little to
further the plot but are a bit of a change from the locations usually used
in martial arts flicks. By the way, despite the English language title,
there are no ninjas in this film.
