The end of the world (or the USA at least): A nuclear attack has
destroyed everything, killed people by the millions, among them Paul
Sanders' (Paul Kratka) wife, and without her, he, who has lived through
the hell of Vietnam, has lost all hope, and the maqny fond memories he has
of her don't make things any better ... Loss of Hope, a
7 minute-short, is not so much a narrative film as it is a mood piece as
well as a showcase for actor Paul Kratka, who gives a brilliant
performance of a man broken beyond repair. His performance, coupled with
an atmospheric and subtle directorial effort by director Scott Goldberg
make this a fascinating piece of film one only hopes would have gone on a
