World War II: A bomber jet is shot down in the middle of the Ocean, and
the pilot Fred (Bill Rogers) manages to save himself on a nearby seemingly
deserted island by mere luck rather than anything else. This island is
ruled by women, led by seductive Aphrodite (Launa Hodges), who likes only
two kind of men, those doing hard labour, and those making love ... oh,
and those being brutally tortured, too, tortured for causing war and pain.
Anyways, since he's the only man on the island, it soon becomes clear to
Fred that he'll be the only hard worker, the only stud, and the only
person on the receiving end on a (or more than one) whip for the next few
weeks, before Aphrodite and her girls grow tired of him. However,
unexpectedly Fred finds an ally in Desiree (Dawn Meredith), a French woman
who doesn't share Aphrodite's views on men, and who frees Fred from a
stake after an especially cruel round of whipping, kills Aphrodite when
she tries to stop them cold, and finally they make it of the island in a
lifeboat. Not a good film in any way, but an enjoyable little
movie that really doesn't seem to give too much of a dam about anything:
So see cute girls in bikinis here (no actual nudity though) torturing men
quite brutally (there is a flashback containing a quite graphic gutting
even), stilted dialogue, wooden acting, unconvincing locations, a story
that makes little sense, gratuituous violence, and an uninspired
directorial effort, all tied up in just about 50 minutes of cinematic
weirdness.Nostalgic (very) low budget trash at its best!
