When the abbott of the Shaolin temple is killed by the master of Wu
Tang, his student Dragon (Dragon Lee), decides to go on a quest to find
the killer, yet unaware of his identity. A mysterious Shaolin monk
meanwhile seems also be looking fior the killer, so it's inevitable the
2 of them meet (of all places at a carnival where Dragon tries to con
the monk), & they join forces with , with Dragon becoming the monks
student, & Miss Poon, looking foir her father's killer, soon joins
the duo. & while the Wu Tang master is still at large, killing more
& more people who are unwilling to join his school, the monk is
challenged to a duel by yet another mysterious stranger, but is
defeated, while Dragon seems to have no problems beating the stranger,
thus the master-student-roles are reversed. The monk soon shows his true
colours, though, actually being in league with the Wu Tang master, &
the 2 soon capture, humiliate & incarcerate Dragon & enslave
Miss Poon. But while Dragon is badly wounded, Miss Poon already devises
an escape-plan which is aided by the mysterious stranger - whom Dragon
has beaten earlier on - in the crucial moment, & while this man is
killed, Dragon & Miss Poon indeed manage to escape. & while
Dragon trains to regain his strength, even augment it, Miss Poon is
captured again by the Wu Tang master, but that's all the same to our
hero when he finally confronts & kills both the fake Shaolin monk
& the Wu Tang master, & then heads off with Miss Poon to the
next temple to marry her. It's supposed to be part murder
mystery, part vendetta-Eastern, but in the end, the story is just an
excuse to have one martial arts fight after the other - & they are
rather mediocre, as it is, even though the thread-shooting fake monk
& some slapstick in the final battle at least show some good
intentions to exceed over the material (even though the end result is
rather disappointing).
