Future Man (Joseph Bee) comes back to 1985 from the year 3005 to
(telepathically) convince our world leaders to start the third World War
early, because in his reasoning, all the wars that have been postponed
have only led to bigger catastrophes than if they had started right away.
It's only when he has almost succeeded in convincing the UN-summitt and
futorologist Dr Ziv (Avi Yakir) that Future Man is revealed to be no more
than a marketing ploy installed by Nabeshima's (Kiichi Sasayama) hi-tech
corporation to promote their new telepathy-devices ... Time
travel farce stuck somewhere between the almost ingenious and the
downright silly, the ambitious and the vulgar. The final punchline (the
whole being nothing but a marketing stunt) is spot-on though, and if you
have a soft spot for early 1980's designs, music and the like, you should
at least give that one a try.
