Good Mother Noose (Jezibell Anat) tells us a handful of twisted stories
in the belief that if you tell the right story at the right time, it will
come true ...
- Through the Woods: A girl on a bicycle (Wayward Vixen) is
pursued by a wolf (John Wayne Miller) - but once he catches up with
her things get ugly in another way than planned
- Breadcrumbs: After his wife (Allison McLeod) wants to make
him to give up his kids for adoption, he (Jack Allison) decides to
kill her - but somehow thast plan backfires royally ...
- Sinderella: Sindy (S. Watkins) just can't take the bullying
from her stepmother (Wendy Miklos) and stepsister (Cassandra Rose)
anymore, so she kills the former - which invites demon Asmodeus
(Austin Basham) into her house to help her to get even ...
- The Real Boy: Carnival promoter Hawker's (Nathan Hamilton)
biggest attraction is Merrick (Jon Devlin, a boy made from wood - a
sensation under normal circumstances, but his audience is jaded. So he
rents Merrick out to a producer of fetish videos - with some
unexpected and unpleasant side effects ...
- The Big Bad: Three dirty cops (Jon Devlin, Eric E. Poe,
Crystal Wheeler) fall prey to a deadly avenger (Erin Brown a.k.a.
Misty Mundae) ...
- The Little Red Hood: It should have been romantic to kinky
between two young lovers (Alexandra Harkins, Quianna Harper) - until a
third person (Brittany Hicks) arrives ...
Now there's an anthology that's fun for sure, as it takes a bunch of
well-known fairy tales and puts a more adult and contemporary spin on
them, but not in a post-modernist way that seems to constantly want to
wink at one, but in a story-centric way that does bring the respective
sexual and horror aspects to the fore but always stays true to the
source's heart. And while the segments might vary in directorial approach,
they all have a nice B movie feel to it that firs the material
surprisingly well, making this one fun watch for sure.
