Rather geeky Kevin (Jayson Garity) is not exactly a favourite with
women as it is, but when a girl who has been espcially mean to him turns
up murdered not far from his house, he becomes a suspect in the
murdercase. And his story about having met hot new neighbour Lisa (Robyn
Griggs) at the time of the murder just doesn't click (even though it's
true of course). Eventually, Kevin meets Lucy (Heather Summers), and the
two almost immediately fall deeply in love with each other. Eventually,
they meet Lisa, who not only admits to having committed the murder and
still carries the murder weapon, she also kills a highschool jock Kevin
always hated before their very eyes - and when Kevin tells exactly that to
the police, investigating cop Williams (Ken Sechrist) is less than
convinced about Kevin's version of the story (even though it's 100% true)
... Since he can't expect any help from the police, for whom he's the
prime suspect in two murders now, Kevin starts his own investigations, and
soon comes to the conclusion that Lisa simply has to be a creation of his
own mind having come to life thanks to heavy masturbation, and with the
help of Detective Williams, he lures her into a trap - a trap Lisa,
the thought-up being, easily escapes since she's impervious to bullets
(after all, how can you shoot thoughts?). Being Kevin's dream woman
though, Lisa then goes after Lucy out of jealousy, and Kevin figures the
only way to get rid of Lisa is to shag Lucy before her very eyes ... which
actually works. Detective Williams, who can't make heads or tails of the
whole story, is left all puzzled - but somehow he has come to believe
Kevin's version of the happenings anyways. There are certain
good ideas in this ultra-low budget flick that might be of interest:
Creating a killer by means of masturbation certainly sounds like a fresh
idea, just like getting rid of her by fucking, and then trying to sell the
whole story to the police. Unfortunately, these ideas are few and far
between, mostly the whole film is made up of unnecessary scenes that do
nothing to move the narration forwards, and dialogue that's so trivial it
almost hurts. And that the direction is totally uninventive and the lead character isn't exactly likeable doesn't help much either of course
... which in a way is too bad, because trimmed to half its running time,
with a different lead and a bit of imagination on the director's behalf,
this could have been a fun movie, but like it is, it's just boring ...
