Jerry (Frankie Capobianco) is your typical hen-pecked husband, letting
his wife (Audrey Noone) sending him on errands all day on his day off, and
manipulating him by promising him sex that night (as in "no headache
tonight"). One such errand is picking up her friend Nate and driving
him home. Now Jerry doesn't know much about Nate, except that he's gay ...
and Jerry isn't homophobic or anything, he's just a totally insensitive
guy and has only the crudest of ideas about homosexuality - yet having
nothing else to talk about, he starts off on the subject ... and before
long makes Nate feel really uncomfortable - until he finds a way to turn
the tables ... Mainly, No Headache Tonight is just ten
minutes of two dudes sitting in a car talking - and it's so much fun, too,
as it's really well-written, the embarrassment of the situation coming
clearly across in the dialogue alone ... which of course is not to say the
performances aren't spot-on as well. Plus the direction really keeps
things interesting without diverting one's attention from the dialogue. A
fun short, really!
