Lynn (Lynn Harris) arrives in San Francisco for her uncle's funeral -
and meets her uncle's widow Martine (Uschi Digard) for the first time, and
feels weirdly drawn to her. At first, she figures it just a fancy a good,
heterosexual shag would blow away, but despite getting laid, she still
longs for Martine. Suprisingly, Martine also fancies Lynn, and it isn't
long before the two start having sex - and lots of it. Eventually, Martine
also introduces Lynn to drugs - and eventually, Lynn goes on a bad trip
... Now of course, this film, like so many others, was mainly
made to show girls in the nude in sexual situations (strictly softcore),
and it was shot with no on-screen sound to keep any complications to a
minimum. Now bearing that in mind, one can't expect greatness - and having
said that, for an early 1970s sex flick, this one's actually pretty good,
the drama the sex scenes are hanged on is actually not cringeworthy, the
voice-over comes across as literate, the jazzy score is actually pretty
good, and director Nick Millard knows how to infuse some interesting
camerawork into all the sexy goings-on. Not a masterpiece by any stretch,
but then again quite a bit better than one would expect it to be.
