Now here's a movie that's hard to get a hold of, mentally. According to
one synopsis, a woman is apparently so overcome by grief that her grief
summons an otherworldly being. And that said, this synopsis is
highly interpretative, as anyone who hasn't read it before watching the
movie (and I didn't) would have a hard time reading this out of the film. But
that said, the film boasts very strong imagery, is very well-versed in
cinematic language, and how to play with it, and its look, sound and edit
are impeccable. At the same time, the film's also overflowing with
symbolism, which makes it rather on the brain-heavy side, and hard to
grasp even if one accepts it's not a narrative film in the traditional
sense.
