In the not-too-distant future, sex is outlawed as a birth control
measure, but since that leads to an unproportional increase of
masturbation, the production of pornographic movies and entertainment
becomes a matter of the state, and performers - i.e. people permitted to
have sex, but only on film and television - become public servants. Sherman
Frobish (Robert Random) is a state-employed porn producer, and he insists
on his performers having some special talents or gimmicks to to stay on
top. He has taken a special interest in Hope (Terri Hall), a porn rookie
who likes to cover her men in icecream before sucking them clean - and by
special interest I mean he insists on a demonstration ... on himself. However,
Frobish isn't the producer he once used to be, with his sex shows' ratings
slipping, so eventually he turns his back on producing smut, and instead
he mass-produces sex androids developed by his mad scientist partner
professor Roxoff. After all, androids can't get pregnant, right? Wrong,
they can for some inexplicable reason, and impregnating women, even if
they're androids, is a felony. Now Frobish is in a jam, and it's even
worse as the Carnal Intelligence Agency in the person of telepathic
blowjob artist Miss Vice Squad (Susan McBain) is after him. Then though,
Frobish fucks Miss Vice Squad into submission, and she convinces him to
stay in the porn biz, but try a new approach - sex on rollerskates, in a
competition that resembles a bit a blend of figure skating and good
old-fashioned fucking. The title coupled with the information
that this is a piece of science fiction porn somehow suggests this is a
pornographic take on previous year's hit-movie Rollerball. Well,
it isn't. Instead it's a silly satire on future sex - but silly in a good
way, as the humour is invariably so over-the-top and irreverent, though
not always hitting the mark that it is laugh-inducing all by itself. Add
to this cheap 1970's style futuristic sets and outfits, and a few really
cute girls even, and you get not the best movie ever, not even the best
porn movie ever, but a piece of good nostalgic pornographic entertainment.
