Sam (Saba) is a vampire, and as such he's the star of Syn's (Sylvianne
Chebance) Vampire Anonymous group, a group to get vampires away
from killing and turning humans, as Sam hasn't been sucking human blood
for 99 days ... or at least Sam would be the star if it wasn't for Tim
(Matthew Hazen), who's not a vampire at all himself but has brought his
brother who has just been turned ... As far as new wave vampire
movies go, this looks really awesome, and it's really well-directed,
putting an emphasis on atmosphere but alsogiving the jokes enough room to
develop without overpowering them with imagery. But that said,
unfortunately the thing's not perfect: It's good fun no doubt, but once
one gets this group of vampires are just Alcoholics Anonymous
translated into the bloodsuckers' realm, the jokes just don't get any
better. Fun still, just not perfect.
