A woman (Tory Taranova) is on the run from a squad of uniformed and
armed men, but when she's cornered, she shows she's quite capable of
protecting herself as she turns into a monster-like being and takes out a
bunch of them, even ducking bullets in the process. But there are others
who aren't taken down as easily. Now the uniformed men have apparently
been sent by one doctor Lanyon (Patrick Pope) who has performed illegal
experiments on her, and somehow she got away ... but that, as it later
turns out, is only half the truth because there was a time she and Lanyon
were workign together ... She is a very tight little
film, filled with well-staged and ferocious action to the brim while
keeping things tense, while on a story level the strategy to give the
action's backstory away only by the by works rather brilliantly - and of
course, a great performance by Tory Taranova, finding just the right
balance between vulnerability and fierceness. Totally worth a watch!
